Book Sale
The Library holds a "never-ending" book sale in the library lobby which is open during regular library hours. Books may be purchased individually for .25 for hardcovers and .10 for paperbacks or by the bag for $2.00. Selected items which are priced accordingly can also be purchased from a cart at the library entrance. Items purchased from the book sale are non-returnable.
Email Reference : Reference service is now available via E-mail from the Waterford Public Library. A Reference librarian will answer your questions and/or refer you to other online, print, or agency resources. You may also call the library directly at 518-237-0891 to request Reference assistance during normal business hours.
Interlibrary Loan : The Waterford Public Library considers facilitating the sharing of library resources an important part of its mission. Materials that are not owned by the library may be available from another library within our system or another nearby system. Patrons looking for materials should first search our catalog. Interlibrary Loan requests can be made directly from the catalog by clicking Place Request. The password is by default the last four digits of the home phone number. If the material in question is unavailable through the catalog, please contact the library at 518-237-0891 for further assistance.

Computer Services : The library currently has five computer workstations which offer both access to the Internet as well as Microsoft Office; one which is reserved for use by juveniles & young adults. In addition we have a non-networked PC available for word processing. Printing is available for 10 cents per sheet. The library also has a Broadband Wireless Network available for patrons who have a wireless compatible laptop computer. All patrons using library computer services must adhere to the library’s Internet Use Policy.
Outreach Services: The Waterford Public Library can make materials available to community residents who are unable to visit the library due to illness or infirmity. Please contact the library for further information at 518-237-0891. In addition the library has partnered with the Town of Waterford Senior Services to make the library a stop on its Senior Bus schedule. If you or someone you know would like to take the bus to the library please contact us to make arrangements.
